In
Adobe Distiller, select "Job Options..." from
the "Distiller" menu. The list below represents
the settings that best optimize PDFs for higher-end printing.
Keep in mind, however, if the PostScript contains bad
information about fonts, graphics or other elements, the
PDF may still not print well. All fonts must be embedded
in the PostScript, and all halftone screens should be
set to at least 85 lpi (ideally 106 lpi) before the PostScript
is made. Most applications (PageMaker, Quark, FrameMaker,
etc.) have varying ways of setting the output. |
